STONE MACHINE: Stone Machine
Die vorliegende Scheibe ist bereits vor einiger Zeit erschienen, erblickt nun aber im Zuge der Veröffentlichung von „American Honey“, dem zweiten Album der Rocker, erneut das Licht der Welt. Immer wieder klingen Bands wie Bad Company, Led Zeppelin, Montrose und Badlands durch. Selbst Fans des Southern-Rocks werden hier fündig. Ein Song wie „West Virginia Blue“ atmet den Hauch des Südens ein, um ihn anschließend mit ganz viel Pathos unter das hoffentlich erregt lauschende Volk zu streuen. Ein heißes Gebräu, dass kochend die Ohren runterläuft. Wer hier ruhig sitzen bleibt, wohnt entweder im Altersheim oder steht sonst eher auf Hip Hop. Wer aber mit den genannten Bands auch nur im Ansatz etwas anfangen kann, muss hier zwangsläufig zugreifen. Fazit: Ein Hammerdebüt.
