Im Jahr 1969 präsentierten PINK FLOYD ihre zweiteilig konzipierte Produktion „The Man“ und „The Journey“, die eine 24-stündige Sequenz von Traum, Wachen und anderen Aktivitäten beschrieb. Obwohl einige der Songs auf dem Soundtrack More und dem Album Ummagumma benutzt wurden, wurde das Werk nie in dieser vollständigen Form veröffentlicht. Die Box konzentriert sich auf die Tour zu „The Man“ und „The Journey“ mit Live-Auftritten in Amsterdam und für die BBC in London, enthält aber auch die Bonustracks aus dem Soundtrack More, der im Film benutzt wurde, aber nie auf einem Album erschien. Zusätzlich gibt es Non-Album-Tracks wie die frühe Version von Embryo aus dem Harvest-Sampler „Picnic“.

1971 nahmen PINK FLOYD das Album Meddle mit dem Opus Echos auf, das eine ganze LP-Seite einnimmt und von vielen als Grundstein für The Dark Side Of The Moon betrachtet wird. Als solches ist es ein entscheidendes Werk im PINK FLOYD-Kanon. Die Box enthält einen Teil der Original-Demos, während derer das Projekt sich von „Nothing“ zu „The Return Of The Son Of Nothing“ entwickelte, sowie zeitgenössische BBC-Session-Aufnahmen. Das audiovisuelle Material enthält den originalen, unveröffentlichten Quadrophonie-Mix von Echoes, aber auch Material von Live-Performances aus dem Jahr 1971, darunter Songs, die mit Roland Petit und seiner Marseille Ballett-Company aufgenommen wurden.
