MINIMUM VITAL ist eine Gruppe aus Bègles (FR) , die der Musikbewegung „Progressive Rock” aus der Gegenkultur der 70er Jahre angehört und 1985 von den Zwillingsbrüdern Jean-Luc & Thierry Payssan gegründet wurde.

Sie gilt in Frankreich und im Ausland als einer der originellsten Vertreter dieser Musikbewegung.

Die Band hat von 1985 bis heute zahlreiche Alben beim Spezialistenlabel Musea veröffentlicht und bereits auf mehreren internationalen Bühnen gespielt.

Auch im Jahr 2026 hat Minimum Vital nichts von seiner Vitalität und Kreativität eingebüßt und veröffentlicht ihr 10. Studioalbum Le Royaume.

MINIMUM VITAL is a french band affiliated with the progressive rock movement which emerged from the counterculture of the 70’s, founded in 1985 by twin brother Jean-Luc & Thierry Payssan. They are considered, both in France and abroad, as one of the most original band of this musical style since the 80’s. They have released numerous albums on the label Musea, from 1985 to the present day, have performed on several international stages, and maintain thei vitality and inventiveness in 2026.
