Mit seinem achten Studioalbum kehrt Lunatic Soul, das Soloprojekt von Riversides Hauptkomponist und Sänger/Bassist Mariusz Duda, über InsideOutMusic zurück. „The World Under Unsun” ist das letzte Kapitel einer zusammenhängenden Geschichte über acht Alben mit dem Titel „The Circle of Life and Death”, in der ein einsamer reisender Künstler zwischen Leben und Tod pendelt. „The World Under Unsun“ ist das erste Doppelalbum von Lunatic Soul. Es bietet 14 Tracks mit fast 90 Minuten Spielzeit und äußerst abwechslungsreichem, atmosphärischem Progressive Rock. Das Album ist als Ltd. 2CD Mediabook, Gatefold 2LP & LP-Booklet auf 180 g Vinyl sowie als digitales Album erhältlich.

Lunatic Soul, the solo outfit by Riverside’s main composer and vocalist/bassist Mariusz Duda, return with their 8th studio album and first release via InsideOutMusic. “The World Under Unsun” marks the final chapter of a cohesive story across eight albums entitled “The Circle of Life and Death”, in which a solitary artist-traveller journeys between life and death. “The World Under Unsun” is a first-ever double album by Lunatic Soul and features 14 tracks with almost 90 minutes playing time of highly diverse and profoundly atmospheric Progressive Rock, available as Ltd. 2CD Mediabook, Gatefold 2LP & LP-Booklet on 180g vinyl and as Digital Album.

Lunatic Soul ist das Soloprojekt des Musikers, Sängers und Multiinstrumentalisten Mariusz Duda. Duda ist vor allem als Frontmann der polnischen Progressive-Rock-Band Riverside bekannt, deren Hauptkomponist, Texter, Sänger und Bassist er ist. Im Jahr 2008 startete er ein separates Projekt, in dem er, wie er selbst sagt, etwas anderes und kompromissloses schaffen wollte.
Lunatic Soul ist inspiriert von Künstlern wie Dead Can Dance, Peter Gabriel (insbesondere seinem Album „Passion“), Mike Oldfield, Clannad, Hedningarna und Depeche Mode. Es ist ein Versuch, Ambient-Musik und elektronische Musik mit Folk- und Rock-Einflüssen zu verbinden. Duda spielt fast alle Instrumente selbst, gelegentlich treten Gastmusiker auf.
Der Künstler lehnt das Label „Progressive Rock“ zwar nicht ab, glaubt aber, dass „Lunatic Soul mir mehr Raum für musikalische Originalität gibt als Riverside“. Aus diesem Grund mag er es nicht, wenn Lunatic Soul als „Nebenprojekt“ bezeichnet wird. „Für mich ist Lunatic Soul nichts Nebensächliches. Musikalisch und konzeptionell ist es eine ebenso wichtige Musikwelt – wenn nicht sogar wichtiger. Hier kann ich buchstäblich alles machen.“
Seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 2008 hat Lunatic Soul sieben Alben in voller Länge veröffentlicht, und das kommende achte Studioalbum „The World Under Unsun“ wird am 31. Oktober 2025 erscheinen.
