Lunatic Soul ist das Solo-Projekt von Mariusz Duda, der kreativen Kraft, Leadsänger und talentierten Multi-Instrumentalisten hinter Polens Progressive-Rock-Shootingstars Riverside.
Walking On A Flashlight Beam ist das vierte Album von Lunatic Soul. Es dient als unglaublich emotionaler Prequel zu den ersten beiden Lunatic Soul-Alben und behandelt das Thema selbstgewählte Einsamkeit. Dabei schwingt eine starke Vorahnung mit, da sich die ersten beiden Alben mit Tod und Jenseits beschäftigen.
Über sein viertes Werk sagte Duda 2014:
„Das sind sehr dunkle und intensive Kompositionen, aber auch sehr melodisch. Ich denke, es ist eines der besten Dinge, die ich je geschrieben habe, wenn nicht das beste.“
Wie bei den vorherigen Lunatic Soul-Alben stammt das Artwork vom renommierten Coverkünstler Travis Smith, der zuvor auch für Opeth und Riverside gearbeitet hat.

Lunatic Soul is the solo project from Mariusz Duda, the creative force, lead singer & talented multi-instrumentalist behind Poland‘s Progressive Rock shooting stars ‘Riverside’.
‘Walking On A Flashlight Beam’ was the fourth album from Lunatic Soul. It served as an incredibly emotional prequel to the first two Lunatic Soul albums & covers a theme of self-imposed solitude & has a strong sense of foreboding with the knowledge that the first two albums focus on death & the afterlife.
Commenting on his fourth opus in 2014, Duda said: “These are very dark & intense compositions but very melodious too. I think it’s one of the best things I’ve ever written, if not the best one”.
As with previous Lunatic Soul albums the artwork was created by the renowned cover artist Travis Smith who has also created covers for the likes of Opeth & Riverside.
